Yoga Rooted in Therapeutics

Yoga, when approached with attention to alignment and body mechanics, is a deeply therapeutic practice that supports both physical and mental wellbeing.

By understanding how the body is designed and how forces of action and resistance interact, we can use yoga as a tool to restore balance, improve joint health, and enhance mobility.

My teaching is grounded in over twenty years of dedicated study and exploration of how bones, muscles, and connective tissues work together to support healthy alignment and functional movement.

By applying the principles of cause and effect, clients learn to recognize how even subtle adjustments in one area of the body can influence overall stability, range of motion, and ease of movement.

Working consciously with resistance—the push and pull we can create in our body —develops strength and mobility simultaneously. This dynamic engagement supports the health of the joints, enhances circulation, and encourages the neuromuscular system to respond with greater coordination and resilience.

This mindful, therapeutic practice not only enhances physical function but also helps regulate the nervous system, quiet the mind, and foster a grounded sense of wellbeing.
